Install
Get the bldr CLI and a node you can build against.
bldr has two halves: a node, which is a daemon that stores content and runs
containers, and the bldr CLI, which talks to it. You need both, though
they are usually the same machine to start with.
There is no public package yet. The commands below are what installation will
look like; for now, build the .deb from the repository and install that.
Install the package
sudo dpkg -i bldr_<version>_amd64.debThat gives you /usr/bin/bldr and /usr/bin/bldr-daemon, a default config at
/etc/bldr/node.yml, and a systemd user unit.
Start your node
The daemon runs as you, not as root, so each user gets their own node and their own store.
systemctl --user enable --now bldr-daemonIf you want it to survive logout:
loginctl enable-linger $USERCheck it
bldr info[G] Node info
peer ID: 12D3KooW...
peers: 1
bootstrapped: yesIf that prints, the CLI found the daemon and you are ready. If it says it
cannot connect, the daemon is not running: systemctl --user status bldr-daemon
will say why.
Next: make a workspace.
