The tree this subtree came from, as a CID-bearing artifact.
A CID rather than a name because a name would have to be invented here and matched by string somewhere else. The CID is what a consumer already has: the daemon knows every workspace member's root CID, so origin → member is an equality check rather than a guess.

Path prefix within the composed tree. "" is the whole tree.
No leading or trailing slash: bldr-types, src/gen, "".
