bldr blob

Blob operations

bldr [BLDR FLAGS] blob <COMMAND>

bldr blob get

Stream the byte content of a Blob DAG to stdout or a file.

The CID must point to a Blob CBOR node (as stored by blob put). Use --from / --until to stream a sub-range [from, until). In TTY mode (when writing to a file) a progress bar is shown on stderr.

bldr [BLDR FLAGS] blob get [GET FLAGS] <CID-OR-REF>

<CID-OR-REF>

CID or named ref of the Blob root

Required.

--from <BYTES>

First byte to stream (default: 0)

--until <BYTES>

Exclusive end byte (default: blob size)

-o, --output <PATH>

Write output to PATH instead of stdout

-l, --local

Local store only; fail if any block is missing locally

Defaults to false.

bldr blob put

Stream a file to the node as a Blob DAG and print the root CID.

The file is streamed in chunks; the server applies FastCDC and stores each chunk as a content-addressed block. In TTY mode a progress bar with MB/s is shown on stderr.

Use - as PATH to read from stdin (no progress bar).

bldr [BLDR FLAGS] blob put [PUT FLAGS] <PATH>

<PATH>

File to upload, or - to read from stdin

Required.

-r, --ref <NAME>

Bind the resulting CID to a named ref (may be repeated)

May be given more than once.

bldr blob stat

Return the total byte size of a Blob DAG without downloading it.

Only the root Blob CBOR node is read — each BlobPart carries its size inline, so no chunk blocks need to be fetched.

Prints: size, CID, and whether the root was already cached locally.

bldr [BLDR FLAGS] blob stat [STAT FLAGS] <CID-OR-REF>

<CID-OR-REF>

CID or named ref of the Blob root

Required.

-l, --local

Fail if the root block is not already in local storage

Defaults to false.
