bldr builds
Manage builds — list, inspect, attach, detach, delete, or create a detachable build
bldr [BLDR FLAGS] builds [COMMAND]bldr builds attach
Attach to a build and stream its events live.
Like watch, but the build's run is bound to this stream: cancelling (Ctrl-C) STOPS the build. Its record is kept either way — use builds detach first if you want it to keep running.
bldr [BLDR FLAGS] builds attach <BUILD-ID><BUILD-ID>
Required.
bldr builds create
Create a build and (by default) stream its events live.
Input is either an explicit BuildInput CID (--input, standalone) or the workspace (discovered from cwd, or -W <PATH>). With --detach the build is created and returned immediately; otherwise the command attaches to it (Ctrl-C stops it, Ctrl-X detaches).
bldr [BLDR FLAGS] builds create [CREATE FLAGS] [FILTER]...<FILTER>
What to build: target filters, additive (see bldr build). Omitted → the workspace's default filters
May be given more than once.
--input <CID>
Build a fixed, explicit BuildInput CID (standalone, no workspace)
--watch
Follow the workspace BuildInput, rebuilding incrementally on every sync (workspace builds only)
Defaults to false.
--fetch-only
Only sync the workspace members (streaming their fetch progress) without running the build controller
Defaults to false.
--refetch
Force all workspace members to bypass the sync cache and re-call their content providers, even if the spec hasn't changed
Defaults to false.
--ref <NAME>
Store the output under a local ref. Repeatable
May be given more than once.
--run <FILTER>
Keep runnables running from this build's output (see bldr build --run). Repeatable. FILTER is a target filter over full names
May be given more than once.
--mount <FILTER:POINT>
FUSE-mount outputs. Repeatable. Format: FILTER:POINT (the --export shape), or a bare POINT for the whole output — see bldr build --mount
May be given more than once.
--export <FILTER:PATH>
Materialise outputs of the build to local paths. Repeatable. Format: FILTER:PATH, PATH a template (see bldr build --export)
May be given more than once.
--deploy <FILTER>
Invoke deployments after the build (see bldr build --deploy). Repeatable. FILTER is a target filter over full names
May be given more than once.
--name <NAME>
Name this build, so it is identifiable in bldr builds and the console instead of appearing as one more UUID. Travels as the label bldr.name=<NAME>
--label <KEY=VALUE>
Attach a label KEY=VALUE to the build (repeatable). --name is the shorthand for --label bldr.name=…
May be given more than once.
-d, --detach
Create the build detached and return immediately instead of streaming its events (the build keeps running on the node)
Defaults to false.
--keep
Detach instead of stopping when this command exits, leaving the build alone on the node (ignored with --detach, which never binds the build to this stream in the first place). The build's record is retained either way
Defaults to false.
--profile
CPU-profile every pod this build starts (see bldr build --profile)
Defaults to false.
-o, --option <KEY=VALUE>
Override a workspace option for this build only (repeatable, see bldr build --option)
May be given more than once.
--no-cache
Re-run every function instead of using cached results (see bldr build --no-cache)
Defaults to false.
bldr builds detach
Stop watching a build. It keeps running on the node.
The first of three separate operations — detach, stop, remove. Detaching only severs a stream's hold on the build: nothing is cancelled and nothing is discarded.
bldr [BLDR FLAGS] builds detach [DETACH FLAGS] <BUILD-ID><BUILD-ID>
Required.
--stop
Also stop the build (cascade): stop watching AND stop working
Defaults to false.
bldr builds get
Show a single build's current state
bldr [BLDR FLAGS] builds get <BUILD-ID><BUILD-ID>
Required.
bldr builds list
List builds.
By default lists every build; restricted to the discovered workspace (or -W <PATH>) when one applies. With --watch, stream the live list, redrawing in place as builds are created, change state, or are removed.
bldr [BLDR FLAGS] builds list [LIST FLAGS]-w, --watch
Watch the build list live (redraws in place until Ctrl-C)
Defaults to false.
bldr builds problems
Everything the build's tooling said about code: type errors, lints, deprecations.
One list from two sources — what a controller reported as it ran, and what any diagnostics target the build produced stored — so it does not matter which tool took which route. Nothing is capped: the whole set is fetched, page by page.
bldr [BLDR FLAGS] builds problems [PROBLEMS FLAGS] <BUILD-ID><BUILD-ID>
Required.
-w, --watch
Follow the build, printing each finding as it is found and a tally when the build stops
Defaults to false.
bldr builds remove
Also delete.
Remove a build's record, unmounting any FUSE mounts it created.
The record is discarded outright, so this is the one operation that loses the evidence. Removing implies stopping: a build's workloads are never left running behind a discarded record.
bldr [BLDR FLAGS] builds remove <BUILD-ID><BUILD-ID>
Required.
bldr builds set-targets
Replace a build's target filters, resuming the build under them.
A live watching build regenerates at once; a finished, failed or cancelled build goes back to running — a failed build can succeed with fewer targets, a cancelled one resumes. With filters → explicit mode; with --defaults → the workspace's options.targets; with --none → build nothing (graph + target list only).
bldr [BLDR FLAGS] builds set-targets [SET-TARGETS FLAGS] <BUILD-ID> [FILTER]...<BUILD-ID>
Required.
<FILTER>
Target filters (additive): bldr/*[test], [deployment], **/lsp[bldr.runnable.lsp=v1], a member path…
May be given more than once.
--defaults
Follow the workspace's default target filters
Defaults to false.
--none
Build nothing
Defaults to false.
bldr builds stop
Stop a build's work, keeping its record for inspection.
Cancels the build's in-flight invocations (tearing down any pods or microVMs it started) and leaves an inspectable record behind in state cancelled — bldr builds get <ID> and its logs still work. This is what Ctrl-C on a foreground bldr build does.
bldr [BLDR FLAGS] builds stop [STOP FLAGS] <BUILD-ID><BUILD-ID>
Required.
--remove
Also discard the record (cascade), leaving nothing behind
Defaults to false.
bldr builds watch
Stream a build's events live without binding its lifecycle.
Cancelling (Ctrl-C) leaves the build running. The stream ends when the build is removed or its workspace is deregistered.
bldr [BLDR FLAGS] builds watch <BUILD-ID><BUILD-ID>
Required.
